PDC Site Visit 5: Boonderoo Farm, Cheshunt

On Sunday, students from the Yackandandah Permaculture Design Course (PDC) visited Boonderoo Farm in Cheshunt as their last site visit before the culmination of the course.

Boonderoo Farm is a fantastic example of ‘wild permaculture’ and was established over 20 years ago on 600 acres of  remote bush and blackberry scrub.

The farm currently runs a bakery and various bread making courses, hosts WOOFERS, raises goats, cows and chickens and is an exemplary model of self reliance and broad acre permaculture in practice.

A huge thank you to Thomas, Gabbi and their beautiful family for their hospitality and willingness to share the property with us for the day.
